JA Michell Orbe turntable - further reduced! | price reduced |
| The Orbe turntable is Michell's ultimate expression in turntable engineering. The Orbe's platter is made of three GyroDec platters bonded together to form one massive slab of acrylic 60 mm thick. The massive bronze housing of the bearing has a spiral machined into its inner bore to draw oil from the bath to the top of the bearing shaft as the housing rotates with the platter, this unique oil pumping mechanism results in low friction/wear and low rumble and noise. It also uses a version of the same precise, reliable, and low-noise DC motor (as the Gyrodec) with a tacho speed control loop back to the HR precision motor power supply, for better speed consistency. Finally, drive to the platter is by a precision-ground soft round-section neoprene belt. In excellent condition, comes with 6 additional armboards. This turntable started out as a Gyrodec but the owner has upgraded it to full Orbe status. An absolute steal at this new price! click here for more info.

Furthermore this unit has been upgraded by the factory itself with Jensen oil caps, WBT binding post,Greyhill switches and all inputs wired with Kimber kable. It also has the optional gloss finish transformers caps. Like new, only 2 months old, with original reciept. Comes with all original Cary selected tubes, owner's manual, remote control and box.
