AUDIOPAX
Riding high on the enormous success of their Model 88 monoblocks and Model 5 preamp, Audiopax has just announced the release of a new range of products to complement their premium line.

The Model 98 is a new dual mono power amplifier based on the circuit of the highly successful Model 88. Boasting the same power output (30 watts per channel) and incorporating the same quality of components, the Model 98 comes packaged in a single sleek brushed aluminum chassis that enables it to be priced more affordably.

Following on its heels, is the Model 78 stereo power amp rated at 15 watts per channel in Pure Class A mode. Both will still incorporate their patented Timbre Lock adjustments, among other innovations. There will also be a Model 5 preamp in the same finish to compliment the new power amps. BRINKMANN
Their top-of-the-line Balance turntable and 10.5 arm combination has recently received the honour of front page coverage by Stereophile magazine (June 2005). Michael Framer proclaimed that the Balance, apart from the magnificent Rockport, is probably the best turntable he has heard!

Even if you habitually take all these reviewers’ comments with a hefty pinch of salt, we feel it is really something to be mentioned in the same breathe as the awesome Rockport! Read also the excellent and very in-depth review by 6moons here.

ORTOFON
Ortofon’s latest MC cartridges called the Rondo series, has just been introduced and they already have a rave review! The Rondo Blue was recently awarded a “5 globe” rating by Hi-Fi World Magazine (), its highest accolade.

Made of a unique wood pulp and compressed into a very attractive and non-resonant shape, this cartridge looks as striking as it sounds! It is on demo now in our showroom.

We have been trying out a few of their models over the last few months, and we are genuinely surprised at their high level of sound quality and achieved at very reasonable prices too! So much so, that we’re now lessening our focus on some of more expensive brands of cartridges.

AURIC ILLUMINATOR MK II
The long awaited successor to the award-winning original version is finally here! Audience’s Auric Illuminator has been the defacto reference standard for CD treatment for many years, and the subject of numerous reviews.

Not wanting to rest on their laurels, the brilliant guys at Audience has come out with an even more effective formulation to enhance the sound quality of any CD that you own, regardless of age.
