to explore performance extremes, the Venom prototypes were an experiment
to determine whether a *true* high-performance power cord could be
manufactured and sold for as little as $100.
The Venom power cord
is the result of a two-year period of obsessive parts refinement
and intuitive design execution. Power cords in this price range
are usually little more than re-packaged thrift store 14 or 16 gauge
wire with an elevated price.
The Venom power cord has custom-designed
connectors, gold plating on all contacts, pure OFHC copper, a dual
layer shield and on-site cryogenic treatment. No power cord, outside
of Shunyata's line at three times the price, even comes close.
