Audio Note
DAC 2.1x incorporate unique filtering and output technology to
achieve a sweet, fluid presentation without resorting to treble
roll-off and the resulting loss of information and dynamics.
The filtering system is the subject of patents world-wide and is
both technically innovative and deceptively simple. Like our amplification,
the output stage incorporates valves, this time in a Shunt Regulated
Push Pull configuration.
All new DACs use the new Analogue Devices AD 1865 18 Bit DAC chip
with no over-sampling, coupled with a Crystal Semiconductor input
receiver with 44.1kHz and 96 kHz sampling capabilities. The digital
stages are fed by 8 separate shunt regulated power supplies.
Specifications:
- Class A operation
- Zero Feedback
- Proprietary copper digital filter coils
- 6922 valve output stage
- Paper-In-Oil coupling capacitors
- Analogue Devices AD1865 18Bit chip
- 2 inputs (1BNC & 1 RCA)
- 96kHz sampling compatible and upgradeable to 192kHz
About Audio Note's DAC Design Concept:
Audio Note produces some of the finest D/A converters in the market.
1x means
NO over sampling and no digital filtering, and
once heard it is hard to deny the utter superiority of this topology.
The Audio Note 1x oversamplingT Direct from DiscT conversion system
allows you for the first time to hear the undiluted, unaltered
and uncontaminated digital signal, as it was recorded, without
the time smear, correction or other interference introduced by
other converters.
Direct from Disc really does mean what it says! There always was
more good information stored on your discs than previously thought.
