The TSDX CD/SACD transport has been built with the award-winning technology used in the XDS1. Like the DAC2X, its companion converter, the TSDX transport has also been endowed with the latest generation MDAT™ up-converting DSP.
Connect the TSDX transport and DAC2X via the single-cable EMM Optilink interface to galvanically isolate the transport from the DAC.
MDAT™ also dynamically adapts to the transient nature of the musical signal instead of addressing it conventionally, as a series of sine waves. This technology enables the TSDX to do something unheard of in the world of digital audio: preserve the phase and frequency integrity of the original signal.
We think you’ll find our hardware every bit as impressive as our software. Similar to the XDS1, the TSDX employs the silky smooth, super responsive Esoteric™ drive mated to our latest generation digital systems.
The TSDX also uses EMM’s latest generation reference high-isolation resonant mode power supply based on the XDS1’s power system. Its advanced systems allow it to synchronize its operating frequency (or resonant mode) to that of every other system within the TSDX — reducing digital noise to the vanishing point. It also offers ultra-tight regulation and virtually complete isolation from power-line impurities and fluctuations.
Then there’s its crisp large LCD display offering four brightness levels plus a “display off” setting.
There’s an elegant precision-machined chassis too. And a remote control machined from a solid block of aluminum.

Precision-machined aluminum chassis
Precision-machined aluminum multifunction infrared remote control
EMM Optilink (CD/SACD)
The DAC2X supports PCM resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz on all inputs and 2.8Mhz DSD via USB (DoP) and via the proprietary EMM OptiLink for use with the company’s TSDX CD/SACD Transport. The review sample was also marked “8fs 2xDSD demo proto” offering the ability to play 2X DSD files. This will become a standard feature. The chassis is wrapped in 1/4″ think precision-machined aluminum as is the included remote. The front panel includes three blue LEDs that show Clock lock status and the incoming data rate (44.1kHz and its multiples, 48kHz and its multiples, and both lit simultaneously for DSD). There are also buttons for polarity inversion, mute, and ALT (intended for future use) and input selection.
Input: EMM Optilink, AES/EBU, USB, 2x Coax S/PDIF, 2x Toslink
